Creating a new album

Showing your client proofs starts with creating an album.  Once you have logged into your administration pages click on the Albums tab across the top and click on the Add / Edit sub tab.

Clicking on the Add / Edit sub tab will bring up the following page.

The first line is the title for this album.  It will be used in any reports and will be displayed to your client.

The second line is the passcode that you will give the client to login to the album.  You will notice that a passcode has already been filled in for you but you are free to use anything you would like.  The only restrictions are that each album must have a unique passcode and the passcode cannot be longer than 33 characters.

The event and expiration dates are both optional.  The event date is available in the data class that's accessible to themes but most themes do not use this date.  The expiration date is used to determine when the album will no longer be available for viewing.  If you leave the expiration date blank the album will not expire.

The theme drop down allows you to select separate themes for individual albums.  Each theme you have installed will be listed.  You can also select Default to use the theme set in the global options.

If you would like to allow your clients to leave comments check the box next to comments.  Note that not all themes will support comments.

Client notes and internal notes are two fields that you can use to leave notes for your client and yourself.

Once you have filled in the required fields click on the Add button to add the album to your database.
