ProofBuddy 2.0 - Release Candidate 1

We've been delaying the next pre-release of ProofBuddy under the assumption that more issues would be reported, but nothing new has come up.  So we are releasing what would have been beta 13 as release candidate 1.  We're still considering this a "pre-release" version but there are no known show stopper bugs. 

Fixes / Issues

  • 641 - Scrollbars on help pop-ups during setup
  • 643 - Spacing on all but first page of order PDF
  • 642 - Errors on servpic.php will now display the error message as a graphic whenever possible rather than a red x.
  • 639 - Custom pages without having to put them in as a plugin
  • 644 - Order page on admin side showing only color images regardless of image type ordered
  • 640 - Added themeFileExists() function for plugin / theme authors

ProofBuddy 2.0 Beta 12

Beta 12 of ProofBuddy 2.0 is available for download.

Fixes

  • 632 - Order status page showing wrong images
  • 629 - Watermarking not working.  This also clears up the issue with the transparent overlay not working.
  • 625 - Cannot add image from server in IE7
  • 624 - JS right click blocking not working
  • 622 - Delete user 'must be logged in' error
  • 621 - basic white theme had a red background.  (Internal issue that didn't affect users)
  • 618 - Favorites showing wrong images
  • 627 - 'Unable to clear existing company info' error during setup
  • 617 - next / previous links causing errors on albums with a single image
  • 615 - Ampersands causing errors on Files on Server option
  • 636 - Added unregister tool to Admin -> Tools
  • 635 - <!--count--> in expire_countdown not working
  • 634 - PayPal script redirecting to site root
  • 623 - Redirect from old query string formats to new for themes that were designed for 1.0
  • 620 - Old links in default theme readme files
  • 619 - Link to readme files in themes and plugins if they exist
  • 616 - Use "custom fields" instead of "meta data"

Known open issues
These are issues that have been reported, but we have not been able to replicate.  We didn't want to delay this release for these issues but are still committed to getting them closed.

  • 628 - Unable to add client notes.  When clicking save the field blanks out.
  • 630 - <!--addToCartCategorizedTable--> not showing category titles. 
  • 626 - Unable to delete carts other than 1 day old

ProofBuddy 2.0 beta 11 ready for download

The final planned beta test version of ProofBuddy version 2.0 is available and ready for download.  This release fixes all known "show stopper" issues that prevent ProofBuddy from functioning.  The plan is to go through a couple of release candidate releases prior to a final release. 

Fixes / Updates in this release

  • 613 - Error on multipage reports
  • 611 - Add user gets must be logged in error
  • 610 - Pricing only displaying primary default set
  • 606 - ON DUPLICATE KEY UPDATE error on servers with MySQL versions prior to 4.1
  • 603 - Invalid field name on checkout
  • 601 - Missing variables for company information
  • 597 - Session data being saved in text files on some scripts instead of database
  • 595 - All pages now have a helpID set
  • 614 - JavaScript error in IE8 when adding a tax zone
  • 612 - Comments showing even if disabled
  • 609 - Meta fields not working for cart, and in turn not being carried over to the associated order
  • 605 - All emails now go through the phpMailer class
  • 602 - addSlashes function blocking logins on servers with magic_quotes enabled
  • 598 - Deleted orders showing up in dashboard totals
  • 596 - Help link now opens a full page browser window on the main site instead of a separate help.proofbuddy.com
  • 608 - uniqid() error in admin-albums-viewimages.php in PHP4
  • 604 - URLs from dashboard error messages

 

Issues reported that we have not been able to reproduce

  • 600 - Links locking up Safari on Mac OSX.  This was tested on our machines and we were not able to duplicate this issue.

Plugin: Sales Chart 0.9

The Sales Chart plugin is ready and available for download.

This plugin adds a menu to your dashboard that gives you a flash graph of your sales.  You can view sales for the current week, previous week, current month, previous month, current year, previous year, and all time.

Note: Due to hooks used in this plugin you must be running ProofBuddy 2.0 beta 9 or later.

ProofBuddy 2.0 beta 10 ready for download

Beta 10 of ProofBuddy 2.0 is available for download.  We plan this to be the final beta leading into a release candidate within the next few days.

Issues addressed:

  • 594 - galleryfoot.tpl variables not being parsed
  • 593 - "call-time by reference" error
  • 592 - Cannot remove image from album
  • 591 - Page trail on image, album, user, order pages going to wrong page

Minor glitch in beta 9

A bit of debugging code was left in a file in the beta 9 upload which would cause an ugly screen when your clients submit an order.  The order still went it, but the cart wouldn't redirect to the thank you page like it's supposed to. 

If you downloaded beta 9 before about 7pm CST on 8/13 you can either download just the patched file from our support forum or redownload the entire zip below.

Sales Chart plugin

Just a teaser for now.  This is a plugin we're writing to test the internals of the plugin system and make sure it's working like it's supposed to.  So for now, this plugin isn't available.  But it will be soon; most likely shortly after beta 9 is released. 

The Sales Chart plugin adds a menu to your dashboard that lets you view a line chart of your sales for the current week, month, and year; the previous week, month, and year; and all time.  This gives you a quick glance into how well your sales are doing.

Since words don't really work to explain it though, here are a couple of screen shots.
