32 comments Beta 10 of ProofBuddy 2.0 is available for download. We plan this to be the final beta leading into a release candidate within the next few days.
Issues addressed:
- 594 - galleryfoot.tpl variables not being parsed
- 593 - "call-time by reference" error
- 592 - Cannot remove image from album
- 591 - Page trail on image, album, user, order pages going to wrong page
Is the link to album thumbs in there or will I need to go in and put tat variable back in?
In where? The code's there to use that variable. And the variable is in the galleryhead.tpl file for basic white.
I can't log in now. I just uploaded it over the last version.. I am assuming I did something wrong.
I installed it and created an admin user/pass but now it says there is no user with that name or e-mail. Wtf?
Is this a first time install or upgrade? If it's a first time, delete the /cache/config.inc.php file and that will trigger ProofBuddy to setup again. If it's an upgrade or you already have data and image don't do that because it will overwrite your database. In that case we'll have a little more detective work to do.
I uploaded this and now my albums and everything that was there before are gone. I can still get to the album on the customer side but not on my side of things.
If you can still get to the albums on the client side then the data is still there.
Where are you not seeing the albums? In your album list do you see a note that there aren't any albums or is it blank? Do you see the little spinning graphic, or does it go away? What browser, version, and operating system are you using?
The album list, the login history, the order history are all just blank. The news feed on the dashboard has the little spinning graphic.

Ok.. since you asked... I decided to try firefox and it all works fine there. I dont know why that would be though.

I am having this same problem with IE7
I am using IE7. I have tried to put an order in for a client and it is not working on any browser. I am not sure what to do with it anymore. Ever since the switch nothing has worked right. I can no longer take orders at all.
Try the patched JavaScript file at http://www.proofbuddy.com/forum/index.php?topic=990.0 . It fixes the known issues with IE7.
I dont see it. It is not just IE7 that I can't order from anyway. Nothing seems to be working anymore. Can I go back to the previous version?
What happens when you place an order?
when I place an order it goes to an error page.
Try the beta 11 that was uploaded over the weekend. If that doesn't clear it up we probably should move over to the forum to talk.
I am afraid that didnt work either. If you even try to place an order you get an error. Adding to the cart gives an error.

When you release 2.0 final, will there be instructions on how to upgrade from version 1.5 without losing settings or data?
If you take a look at http://www.proofbuddy.com/2009/07/13/proofbuddy-2-0-beta-6/ it has notes on upgrading from 1.0.

I tried upgrading and lost my log in. Help.
Err meaning it couldn't find me anymore. And the version I am using now is giving me all sortsa trouble.
Do you have access to phpMyAdmin or something similar to where you could directly look at the database?
This is going to sound odd, but try putting quotes around your login and password.
I tried that and it didn't work either. I have looked in PHPAdmin and it's got a jumbled password that doesn't work either. I am totally messing up somewhere. Would a complete start over be better?
The password is jumbled for a reason. It's the same reason when you lose your password ProofBuddy sends you a new one instead of retrieving yours.
What happens when you use the lost password link?
Well, I deleted and started 100% over. I can't even log in with a fresh install. I have no idea what i am doing wrong. I guess I should revert back to 1.0.
When can we expect the final release?
We were shooting for the end of August, which we obviously missed. The goal now is by the end of the month but that really depends on how the betas go.
